The Allen-Bradley 1756-EN2TXT Bridge provides EtherNet/IP network communication and control in environments where temperatures range between -25 to 70 °C (-13 to 158 °F). It is a ControlLogix-XT product line of the 1756 ControlLogix Communication Modules. It is installed into the backplane to link or route control and information data – supporting both real-time I/O messaging and message exchange. It features 128 TCP Connections, 256 CIP/ Logix Connections, and 128 + 128 CIP Unconnected Messages (backplane + Ethernet).

The 1756-EN2TXT EtherNet Bridge features a 10/100 Mbps network communication rate. It supports SNMP (password required) and comes with socket services. It has a packet rate capacity of 10,000 I/O and 2,000 HMI/MSG packets per second. When used with a 1756-L7x ControlLogix Controller, it can support up to 8 Integrated Motion on the EtherNet/IP Network Axes and its packet rate capacity for I/O increases to 25,000 packets per second.

The 1756-EN2TXT Communication Module is ideal for applications that require Internet/Intranet connection, the inclusion of commercial technologies like video over IP, data configuration and collection over a single network, plant management, and time sensitivity with no established schedule. It is compatible with the 1756-A4LXT, 1756-A5XT, 1756-A7XT, and the 1756-A7LXT chassis.
