1756-OC8

The Allen-Bradley 1756-OC8 module is a ControlLogix DC output module that has 8 points available, with 4 points in a group. It is a module that has not been fused so it is recommended to use a fused IFM to protect the outputs. The recommended fuse for the 1756-OC8 module is the 5x20mm 4A quick acting fuse supplied by the SOC p/n MQ2-4A. Note that the chassis and power supply must be installed and grounded first before installing the module into any available slot in the chassis. Also, a removable terminal block housing, or RTB, must be connected to the module when installing it to the chassis. For the 1756-OC8 module, the compatible 20-pin RTBs are the 1756-TBNH and the 1756-TBSH.

The module has a maximum output delay time of 1 ms from off to on and 2 ms from on to off. It has a thermal dissipation of 16.71 BTU/hr and a maximum power dissipation of 4.9W at 60 Degrees Celsius.

The 1756-OC8 module has the following communication formats available: rack optimization, scheduled output data, output data, listen-only rack optimization, and listen-only output data. You can also choose the states in Fault or Program mode per point with this module. Options available are On, Off, and Hold Last State, with Off as the default state.
