1756-OF8IK

The 1756-OF8IK module is a ControlLogix isolated voltage/current analog output module manufactured by Allen-Bradley. Its output range is -10 to 10 Volts and 0 to 20 milliamps. It features 8 isolated points for current and voltage (36 pins) and its output impedance is 46 Ohms. It has a 16-bit resolution and its current draw is 200 milliamps at 5.1 Volts DC. At 24 Volts, its current draw ratings are: 220 milliamps with 250 Ohm loads (in the voltage and current modes) for the current mode only, its current draw at 24 Volts DC is 275 milliamps with 500 Ohm loads, 340 milliamps with 750 Ohm loads, and 385 milliamps with 1000 Ohm loads. The total backplane power of the 1756-OF8IK module in the voltage mode is 6.3 Watts and its total backplane power ratings in the current mode are 6.3 Watts with 250 Ohm loads, 7.6 Watts with 500 Ohm loads, 9.2 Watts with 750 Ohm loads, and 10.2 Watts with 1000 Ohm loads.

The drive capability of the 1756-OF8IK module is 0 to 1000 Ohms for the current mode and it uses the IEEE-32-bit floating point data format. It uses R-Ladder DAC method for module conversion and its module scan time is 1 millisecond. It is designed to function with the Allen-Bradley 1756-TBCH and 1756-TBS6H removable terminal blocks, and its terminal block keying is done mechanically. Some protective capabilities of the 1756-OF8IK isolated analog output module include -30 to +30 Volts of overvoltage protection, short circuit detection, and open-circuit detection. This unit is conformally coated to withstand harsh environments and the recommended wire size for its installation is 22 to 14 AWG solid or stranded shielded copper wire rated for 90 degrees Celsius or greater.
