The Allen-Bradley 5094-IY8XT FLEX 5000 analog input module is a current, voltage, RTD, and thermocouple input module with 8 analog inputs that can operate in the current, voltage, RTD, and thermocouple modes. It is made to handle machine control applications like high-speed digital machine control and process machine control. The Allen-Bradley 5094-IY8XT FLEX 5000 analog input module can connect to multiple Allen-Bradley Logix 5000 controllers through its 8 inputs and with the Producer/Consumer technology that its architecture uses. Allen-Bradley FLEX 5000 input modules like this one can be used as remote I/O modules with the Allen-Bradley ControlLogix 5580, CompactLogix 5380, and CompactLogix 5480 Logix 5000 controllers. The Allen-Bradley 5094-IY8XT FLEX 5000 analog input module needs to mounted on a separate terminal base assembly so that it can accommodate field-side wiring.

The Allen-Bradley 5094-IY8XT FLEX 5000 analog input module can handle a variety of temperature ranges depending on which operating mode it is working in. This module accommodates multiple thermocouple types that can each handle 4 different temperature ranges. The calibrated accuracy rating for this analog input module at an average temperature of 77 degrees Fahrenheit is 0.05% full scale in the voltage, current, RTD, and thermocouple/millivolt modes. The Allen-Bradley 5094-IY8XT FLEX 5000 analog input module does not meet the HART handheld compliance standards.
