The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 5094-OF8XT analog current/voltage output module serves as a means for converting digital values to analog signals. The module is intended for a FLEX 5000 I/O system which consists of the adapter for EtherNet/IP communication and a backplane end cap. Besides these components, the installation of the FLEX 5000 I/O module requires a terminal base (TB) assembly, a shield bar, and basic tools like a screwdriver and wire stripper. The 5094-OF8XT module has 8 non-isolated output channels and an isolation voltage of 250 Volts (continuous). The channels are used for connecting current/voltage input devices and they provide support for several different ranges for every output type. The 5094-OF8XT analog current/voltage output module has a voltage range of 0 to 10 Volts and 0 to 5 Volts, along with an output current range of 0 to 20 milliAmps and 4 to 20 milliAmps. The backplane power (BP) voltage of the unit is 15 Volts DC while the maximum backplane power (BP) current is 75 milliAmps. The module also has a sensor-actuator power (SA) voltage range of 18 to 32 Volts DC and maximum sensor-actuator power (SA) current of 260 milliAmps.

The 5094-OF8XT module is made for operation within a temperature range of -40 to 70 degrees Celsius (-40 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit) and it allows for a storage temperature of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius (-40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit). The module tolerates an operating shock of 30 g and a vibration of 5 g at 10 to 500 Hertz. The 5094-OF8XT module has an open enclosure so it does not have a rating for ingress protection. The module requires a 0.34 to 2.5 square millimeters (22 to 14 AWG) wire size with the condition that the wire must be of solid or stranded copper type. The 5094-OF8XT module is classified as corrosion resistant and it complies with the North America/ATEX temperature regulations.
