The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1794-OF4IXT module is a FLEX XT I/O isolated input analog module. This unit has a small update rate of 2.5/5 milliseconds for all channels and a wide operating temperature range (-20 to 70 degrees Celsius). It is part of the Allen-Bradley 1794 distributed modular I/O system that ensures reliable operation of components in harsh industrial conditions. It enables engineers to isolate it as far from the central control units (PLCs) as possible and to send control signals to actuators over long distances on the factory floor easily. The 1794-OF4IXT module has 4 differential ended isolated analog outputs that can be configured to work in 0 to 10 Volts, ±10 Volts, 0 to 5 Volts, ±5 Volts, 0 to 20 mA, and 4 to 20 mA power ranges. On the front side of the module, there is 1 LED status indicator that turns green in normal operation and red if there is a fault.

The Allen-Bradley 1794-OF4IXT module is supplied with 210 mA of current at 24 Volts DC and it dissipates around 5 Watts of energy. The output signal resolution generated on this module is 15 bits, with 0.32 mV/cnt or 0.000656 mA/cnt. These impressive numbers are accomplished by using sophisticated components for the digital-to-analog conversion process. The 1794-OF4IXT module is a factory-calibrated device that can be adjusted/calibrated in the field too if necessary. This FLEX I/O analog module can be mounted on the following terminal base units, the 1794-TBKD, 1794-TB3, 1794-TB37DS, 1794-TB2, 1794-TB3S, 1794-TB3T, 1794-TB3TS, 1794-TBN, 1794-TB37EXD4VM8, and the 1794-TB37EXD4CM8 base unit. The users must rotate a keyswitch on the terminal base clockwise to Position 4 before inserting the 1794-OF4IXT module for the system to be able to recognize and configure this module.
