This module features single group of Sixteen (16) non-isolated, sinking input channels. Each input type is NAMUR compatible and Intrinsic Safety (IS) type of Ex ia IIB/IIC T4, AEx ia IIC T4, Class I, II, III Division 1 Group A-G T4and Intrinsic Safety (IS) module type of Ex ib IIB/IIC T4, AEx ib IIC T4, Class I, Division 1 Group A-D T4.

Each channel exhibits an input delay time of 1 ms, 2 ms, 3 ms, 5 ms, 9 ms, 17 ms, 33 ms for OFF to ON transitions and 1 ms, 2 ms, 3 ms, 5 ms, 9 ms, 17 ms, 33 ms for ON to OFF transitions with default setting of 1 ms.

This module is built with status indicator to aid in monitoring and troubleshooting of the module. These indicators are Sixteen (16) yellow status indicators and Sixteen (16) red fault indicators, One (1) LED indicator per channel, and One (1) green module power indicator for indication of power supply input to the module.

This module is not compatible with standard Flex I/O terminal bases. It is mounted directly to a terminal base that is equally rated with the module, with compatible catalog numbers of 1797-TB3 or 1797-TB3S T.
