The Allen-Bradley 2080-DNET20 is a Micro800 Communication Module with DeviceNet Scanner. It is a plug-in module and can be snapped into Micro800 controller to increase its application capabilities. It provides higher performance to support explicit messaging to remote I/O and drives via fieldbus or a network by serving as both scanner and client. It is designed to scan various devices such as CompactBlock LDX, E1Plus overloads, PowerFlex drives, and stack lights.
The 2080-DNET20 module can control up to 20 nodes for I/O operation. It takes an area of 2.44 x 1.24 x 0.78 inches and weighs 35 grams. For communication, it supports DeviceNet with a maximum communication rate of 125 Kbps within a 420-meter distance and 250 Kbps within 200 meters, as well as 500 Kbps within a 75-meter distance. It has a 50 Volt (continuous) isolation voltage and a maximum power dissipation of 1.44 Watts. For wiring, 24 to 14 AWG solid or stranded copper wire rated at 75 degrees Celsius (167 degrees Fahrenheit) or greater with 1.2 millimeters (3/64 inches) maximum insulation is used. It can be plugged into any slot of the Micro800 controller. The 2080-DNET20 module supports 2 LED indicators indicating module and network status with a green and a red light. It is configured using user-defined function blocks (UDFBs) to add nodes into the scan list. Only one of these modules should be used for each Micro800 controller.
