The 2080-LC30-16AWB is a compact programmable Logic Controller (PLC) that is designed for implementing micro and small automation, controlling industrial machines and processes. This controller is manufactured by Allen-Bradley that is part of the Micro 800 series, intended for DIN rail or direct panel mounting. Also termed as a “shoebox” controller, this is a stand-alone device that comes with components that enable it to function as a competitive controller out-of-the-box. It comes with an embedded 24 VDC power supply that is designed to be connected to an external supply source rated 120 VAC / 240 VAC. This embedded power supply energizes the entire unit and the embedded I/O circuits. It supports implementing 32-bit and 64-bit floating point math operation, motion control, and Proportional + Integral + Derivative (PID) loop control. User-defined blocks may also be configured for optimization of the user program. Compatible programming languages to this controller are Ladder Diagram (LD), Function Block Diagram (FBD), and Structured Text.
