* The Allen Bradley 1761-L16AZA has been discontinued by the manufacturer, however we specialize in obsolete parts and can likely still supply surplus and/or refurbished replacement 1761-L16AZA units instead of migration.
The Allen Bradley 1761-L16AZA is part of the MicroLogix™ 1000 Programmable Controller series, possessing a relay output type. It has a unit I/O count of 16, a 10 point AC input, and a 6 point AC output. With an input signal of 120 Volts AC and 15 VA, its power supply requires 85 to 264 Volts AC at 47 to 63 Hertz. It has an inrush current of 30 A for 8 milliseconds at the maximum power supply and a 1K EEPROM memory size (approximately 737 instruction words or 437 data words). Information associated with data files (timers, counters, inputs, and outputs) is kept in a program that is preserved through power cycles. An installation of Master Control Relay (MCR) is helpful for safety measures and a mandatory hard-wired relay allows placements for emergency-stop switches in any location. These devices must be wired in series so that when any one device opens, the master control relay is de-energized, thereby removing power to the machine. The use of an isolation transformer in the AC line to the controller is highly suggested; this will require 1500 Volts AC.
This unit operates at temperatures between 0 and 55 degrees Celsius when mounted horizontally and between 0 and 45 degrees Celsius when mounted vertically. Its ideal storage temperature is between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius and it has a relative humidity of 5% to 95% without condensation. Its operating vibration is around 5 to 2k Hertz, 0.381 millimeters peak to peak/2.5 G panel mounted, 1 hour per axis, while its nonoperating vibration is around 5 to 2k Hertz, .0762 millimeters peak to peak/5 G, 1 hour per axis. Its operating shock is 10 G peak acceleration (7.5 G DIN rail mounted) with 11 ±1 millisecond duration, each axis. Its nonoperating shock is 20 G peak acceleration, 11 ±1 millisecond duration, 3 times in each direction, each axis. The maximum torque for the terminal screw is 0.9 N-m (8.0 inches-pounds).
