The 1761-NET-AIC is an Allen-Bradley Advanced Interface Converter that establishes a communication link with network devices. It can fit a variety of Small Logic Controllers (SLCs) and MicroLogix 1000, 1200, and 1500 controllers, which power the converter. Alternatively, a 24V DC power supply connected to the converters external power terminal can also be used. The converter’s communication rate filter matches the network communication rate through a communication-rate selector switch.
The 1761-NET-AIC can be used as a point-to-point isolator or an RS-232 to an RS-485 isolator. Automatic transmitor signals establish communication between the devices. Compatible devices include Logix controllers, modems, and PC serial ports.
