About 1761-NET-ENI/D

The Allen-Bradley Series D 1761-NET-ENI modules are interface modules that are made for applications in Ethernet/IP network systems. The Series D 1761-NET-ENI modules come with 5 LEDs on their front panels that give the users information. These LEDs can light up or flash in different colors to let the users know if the modules are powered on, whether there is a problem, and whether the communication ports are exchanging and transmitting data. These modules are known as ENI or Ethernet Interface modules. The Series D Allen-Bradley Ethernet interface modules have some special features that the Series A, B, and C Allen-Bradley Ethernet interface modules do not have. These special features include the ability to be configured over the Ethernet network, email user authentication for the open email servers, and diagnostic web pages for the Ethernet connections that are being used.

The Allen-Bradley Series D 1761-NET-ENI Ethernet interface modules have a communication utility that requires the users to create usernames and passwords to authenticate an open STMP mail server and to keep data safe. These interface modules are designed to be used in non-hazardous environments, but they can also be used in certain kinds of hazardous environments. The hazardous environments that are safe for the Series D 1761-NET-ENI modules are Class I and Division 2 rated hazardous environments, as long as the modules are installed in the proper enclosures and as long as they use the correct cables and connections. Personal computers can be connected to the Series D 1761-NET-ENI modules in an Ethernet system and the computers can upload and download data with the modules.
