1763-MM1

The 1763-MM1 is an Allen-Bradley manufactured memory module that is used in compatibility with the MicroLogix 1100 series. This memory module comes with 128KB memory which can be used to store program and recipe data and initiate data transfer between controllers. The 1763-MM1 provides the non-volatile type of memory which does not require power or battery to retain its contents. This can be used to prevent the unwanted deletion of a user program that may cause unplanned stoppage or shutdown of operation. This memory module can be used to automatically transfer contents from the non-volatile area to the Random Access Memory (RAM) of the controller at each start-up of the controller. The 1763-MM1 does not increase the built-in memory of the host controller. When installing this module to the host controller, remove the port cover that is shipped with the PLC. Once the port cover is removed, align the memory module to the mounting guides and slightly push the module while maintaining alignment. If unusual resistance is felt during insertion, pull back the module and re-start insertion of the module. The 1763-MM1 is designed to be installed with or without power applied to the controller, this action does not cause damage to the controller and the memory module itself, however, to recognize the newly installed module or the hardware modification, the controller needs to be power cycled or when the host controller is transitioned to program mode, suspend mode or entered faulted state. This memory module is compliant with EMC, LVD, and RoHS directives.

The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1763-MM1 memory module has 128KB memory that is used with the MicroLogix 1100 controllers. The Allen-Bradley 1763-MM1 memory module can be ordered to provide a removable backup of the user data and user programs. Moreover, the memory module can be used to transport programs between controllers.
