The 1775-S5, manufactured by Allen Bradley, serves as a communication adapter module optimized for use with the PLC 3 family. Designed to fit into a PLC-3 backplane slot, it achieves seamless connectivity within compatible processor chassis such as the 1775-A1, 1775-A2, and 1775-A3. This module consumes a typical power of approximately 30 watts and has a current consumption of 20 mA, making it relatively efficient for its capabilities.

It employs a scanner/adapter module communication interface type that allows for versatile integration and operational efficiency. Supporting I/O scan priority capability, the 1775-S5 can manage multiple inputs and outputs effectively.
