The Allen-Bradley 1771-IDC is an isolated AC/DC 120V input module that is part of the 1771 I/O Modules for PLC-5 Systems. It interfaces ON/OFF devices with programmable controllers featuring 1771 Universal I/O structure. It is designed to work with pushbuttons, float switches, selector switches, and limit switches. This isolated product series can be used in applications using individual control transformers such as motor control centers. The 1771-IDC Isolated AC/DC 120V Input Module features input filtering that helps minimize the effects of voltage transients from radiated electrical noise or contact bounce. It ships in a static-shielded bag for protection to safeguard the device from electrostatic discharge damage. Powered through the 1771 chassis backplane, the module requires 74mA. It is crucial to take note and add this to the rest of the module power requirements to avoid overloading. The 1771-IDC is industry compliant and is CSA-certified (Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D), UL-listed, and CE-certified. The temperature when operating should be between 0 and 60 °C (32 and 140 °F) and between -40 to 85 °C (-40-185 °F) when non-operating. The relative humidity (noncondensing) should not exceed 95%. On the front panel, the module has 6 LED status indicators that make monitoring and troubleshooting easier.
