1771-IND

|

The 1771-IND digital input module is an AC and DC-powered digital input module. It has been designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation as part of the PLC 5 product line. The 1771-IND AC/DC digital input module comes with an Allen-Bradley 1771-WH field wiring arm to make the wiring process easier. This input module can be installed in a single slot in an Allen-Bradley Bulletin 1771 backplane, but the backplane power should be disconnected first. The 1771-IND AC/DC digital input module can operate at 16 to 30 Volts AC or at 12 to 30 Volts DC.

The Allen-Bradley 1771-IND module supports 16 units and 24 volts of AC/DC voltage on 250 mA backplane current. The module has a long life of around 20-100 million operations. The 1771-IND supports applications of 10-276V AC because it belongs to the AC solid-state series of digital I/O modules. The AC operating voltage of the 1771-IND is 16-30 volts while the DC operating voltage range is 9-30 volts. The maximum AC off-state current is 1.5 mA and maximum DC off-state current is 0.6mA. This input module also features a typical AC signal delay in the ON-state is 35(+/- 10) ms and the DC signal delay is 10ms in the ON-state. The AC signal delay in an OFF-state is 45(+/- 15) ms and the DC signal delay in the same state is 50ms. The convenient design of this 1771-IND makes it easy to mount in a rack. The basic purpose of this device is to convert the AC signals to the appropriate logic level from the user devices within the processor. They include special points like limit switches, proximity switches, float switches, selector switches, and pushbutton switches. These devices compile a wide variety of input terminals for each module. The unique input filtering feature allows the user to limit the effect of voltage transients which are caused by electrical noise and/or contact bounce.
