The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1771-OC output module is an 8-channel digital DC output module. It is available from the Allen-Bradley PLC 5 product line. The 1771-OC 8-channel digital DC output module has ESD immunity and a conformal coating to protect it. This output module is rated for 8 kilovolts of air discharge, 4 kilovolts of contact discharge, 0.9 to 16.9 Watts of power discharge, and 3 to 57.6 BTU per hour of thermal discharge. The 1771-OC 8-channel digital DC output module can operate at 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit and it can be stored at -40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit.

The 1771-OC DC Output Driver Module by Allen Bradley can function in a temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius; best stored in a zone within -40 and 85 degrees Celsius, its noncondensing relative humidity can hang between 5% and 95%.
With an output current rating of 1.5 A per output, a maximum OFF-State leakage current of 1 mA per output, and a maximum ON-State voltage drop of 2 Volts DC, this module can withstand 1500 Volts of AC power for 60 seconds at a time as determined by tests. Its ESD immunity is contact discharges of 4 kV with air discharges around 8 kV. Dissipating power between 0.9 and 16.9 (minimum and maximum) Watts, its Thermal dissipation hangs between 3.0 and 57.6 (minimum and maximum) BTU an hour.
The 1771-OC has a backplane current of maximum 165 mA (at 5 Volts of DC) and ranges from 52 to 53 Volts DC for input voltage. The circuit board module can be placed in 2 places on the rear edge; keying bands’ position on the backplane connector should accord with the slot, in order to insert the 1771-OC module. Any connector can be entered to the chassis I/O for reception of this unit, excluding the furthest left connector which should be reserved for an adapter or processor module. Remember to place keying bands between 4 and 6 and between 20 and 22.
