The Allen-Bradley 1771-OP PLC 5 Protected AC Output Module is an output module with 4 electrically-protected outputs located in any 1771 I/O chassis slot. It has an operating voltage range between 92-138V AC at 47 – 63 Hz and a maximum module output current of 6A, with 2A on each output. The 1771-OP can sustain a surge of 20A for 60ms repeatable every 2 seconds on both the outputs and the module, and each output requires a minimum current of 80mA at 120V AC to stay ON. The maximum voltage loss in ON-state is 2V AC at 100mA, and the maximum leakage current in its OFF-state is 6mA per output at 120V AC. The signal on the output is delayed for a maximum period of 1ms and 8.3ms at 60Hz from OFF to ON and ON to OFF, and the maximum heat dissipated when operational is 47.2 BTU/hr.
The 1771-OP draws 350mA at a 5V DC current from the I/O backplane and each output is fused with a 0.5A Bussmann GLD1/2 or a 5A, 250V Normal Bussmann fuse. The 1771-OP provides voltage isolation that meets and even exceeds the CSA and UL standards, and it is shipped with a field wiring arm, with a 7 x 9 inch-pounds wiring screw torque. It is keyed to the I/O backplane through locking the connecting bands between pins 6 and 8, and between pins 26 and 28, and the module. The 1771-OP is designed to operate optimally at a factory-designated temperature between 32 and 140 oF in an environment with a 5-95% non-condensing relative humidity.
