The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1771-OY output module is a contact type of output module from the Bulletin 1771 product line in the PLC 5 series. It is equipped with 4 selectable contact output channels. The 1771-OY contact output module can operate with 0 to 250 Volts AC voltage or with 0 to 175 Volts DC voltage. The backplane current rating of this output module is 550 milliamps. The 1771-OY contact output module contains mercury and it should not be subjected to high levels of vibration which could break the glass capsule that houses the mercury inside the module.

The Allen-Bradley 1771-OY is a PLC-5 contact output module. Four selectable contact output points are available with this module. It also has a maximum voltage of 30 VA at 138V AC or 20 VA at 125V DC per output. The operating voltages of this module are 0-250V AC and 0-175V DC. It has a backplane current of 550 mA and a maximum continuous current per module of 2 A at 100V AC with a maximum of 200 VA. The 1771-OY module has signal delays, specifically a typical DC signal delay of 50 ms and a typical AC signal delay of 45 ms +/- 15, both when the module is turned off. It is rack mountable and uses a 1771-WH wiring arm.

Note that the 1771-OY module contains mercury, so you should handle it with care. Avoid subjecting it to excessive vibration because this might break the glass capsule that houses the mercury.
