The 1771-P4 PLC 5 Power Supply Module is a 120V AC power supply module by Allen-Bradley is installed on two adjacent slots of the 1771 I/O chassis and requires a nominal input voltage of 120V AC at a current of 0.88A. It has a voltage requirement range of 97-132V AC and an input power rating if 57W at 50-60Hz. The 1771-P4 provides an output voltage of 5.06V DC (+-3.8%) with a maximum output current of 8A at 5V DC and may be used with a 150A recommended transformer. The module offers voltage isolation tested at 2160V DC for 1s and provides circuit protection via the 1.5A, 125V AC slow blow fuse, a Bussman MDX 1.5 fuse, and a Littel fuse 313001.5. The 1771-P4 also offers branch circuit protection at 15A and dissipates 4W heats at 2A current, and 17W heat at 8A, with the maximum operational heat dissipated at the adjacent slot totaling 10W. The 1771-P4 has a power loss delay time of 13.6ms (+-3.6ms) between input power loss-to-processor disable and the module’s circuit uses 14AWG size copper wire with 3/64 insulation thickness. The module is keyed in position on the backplane through the connection of the top connector between pins 12 -14, and 20 – 22. The 1771-P4 has a working temperature range of 0-60 degrees Celsius at 5-95% non-condensing relative humidity, it is CSA and UL-certified. It is designed with an open-style enclosure and it weighs approximately 1.04Kg (2.3lb).
