The 771-P5EK PLC 5 Conformal Coated Power Supply Module by Allen-Bradley is an EMI-enhanced power module fitted on two I/O slots of the 1771 chassis, which provides the 1771 backplane with 5.06V DC voltage, and a maximum current of 8A. The 771-P5EK has a nominal input rating of 3A current and 24V DC voltage, with an input voltage range of 20.5-30V DC. It has a 5V DC output voltage and an 8A output current, and when functional, it will dissipate 4W at 2A, 7W at 4A, 12W at 6A, and 17W heat at 8A respectively. It provides circuit protection (Branch Circuit) at 15 Ampere, and a voltage isolation tested at 2160V DC for 1s. The 771-P5EK is fused with 32V, 5A Normal Blow fuse, Bussman MTH5 fuse, Littelfuse 312005, and IEC 127 Type M (yellow) fuse. It has a 7 pounds-inches Terminal Block Screw torque and has copper wire conductors with 14 AWG (2.5mm2) wire size, and 3/64 inches thick insulation. The 771-P5EK has a user-selectable delay time (power loss) of 13.6ms (-+3.6ms) or 60ms (power loss to processor disable), and the module, unlike most power modules in the series, does not require an external transformer. The 771-P5EK module is IEC-tested and rated to function without de-rating at a temperature range between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius at 5-95% non-condensing relative humidity, and it comes with an open-style enclosure. The module is keyed to the backplane by connecting the connecting band between pins 12 and 14 or between pins 22 and 24 of the top connector, and the entire module weighs approximately 2.6 pounds. It is CE, UL, CSA, and C-TICK certified.
