The Allen-Bradley 1771-PS7 power supply is a PLC 5 series AC voltage power supply module. It can support input voltage ranges of 97 to 132 Volts AC or 195 to 264 Volts AC for different applications and systems. The 1771-PS7 power supply module supports 50 to 60 Hertz of rated frequency for both of its input voltage ranges. This module can operate as a standalone device. The 1771-PS7 power supply module should only be mounted next to or above the chassis that it is working with to allow it and the chassis to be air-cooled.

The Allen-Bradley 1771-PS7 is a stand-alone 120-220V AC Auxiliary Power Supply with a nominal input current/voltage of 2A at 120V AC and 1A at 220V AC. Â It has a frequency range of 4763Hz and an input voltage range of 97132V AC (120V) and 195264V AC (240V). Its backplane output is rated +5V DC at 16 A. The 1771-PS7 is part of the 1771 Power Supply series and it is compatible with PLC-5 Programmable Controllers and 1771 Control Systems. Before connecting the External 1771-PS7 Auxiliary Power Supply to the backplane, mount the I/O chassis first. Set the configuration jumper to the N position, since the supply is stand-alone. It has a D-sub connector that provides power to the backplane. To avoid power supply overloading; limit the backplane power to 80W, or the user power to 65W, or limit the total system power (add backplane + user) to 100W. The 1771-PS7 Module can be attached to the I/O chassis or mounted separately. When attaching to the panel-mounted chassis, make sure the mounting plate taper pins and supply receiving holes are aligned. Push until the power supply plug is fully inserted into the chassis receptacle. The 1771-PS7 can only be mounted next to or above the chassis. This arrangement allows convection cooling FOR both devices.
