The Allen-Bradley 1772-LWP is a PLC-Mini-2/17 processor that comes with a 120/220 Volt AC switch selectable power supply and a 7.75 K memory. It has a maximum total I/O and analog I/O capacities of 512 each respectively. It has input voltage ranges of 97 to 132 Volts AC and 194 to 264 Volts AC. Nominal input power of this processor is 96 VA and its output current to the backplane is 4 A. It also comes with a frequency of 47 to 63 Hertz, an output of 4 A at 5 Volts DC and has 0.84/0.40 A. The 1772-LWP processor is a conformally coated processor that measures 4.5 x 12.3 inches and weighs 0.3 pounds or 1 kg.

Diagnostic indicators and mode select key switch are present with the 1772-LWP processor. It features a basic instruction set that includes program control instructions, relay-like instructions, data manipulation and comparison, three digit math that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, and a maximum of 488 timers and counters in the processors. This processor's advanced instruction set has block transfer instructions, data-transfer file instructions, bit shift register instructions for bit shifts, jump instructions and subroutine programming, additional EAF functions such as e +/- x, y +/- x, averaging, reciprocal of x, PID, clock and calendar, and standard deviation.
