The 1784-PCM4 cable is an Allen-Bradley Data Highway Plus network security cable. The 1784-PCM4 cable comes with an RJ45 connector and has a total length of 10 feet. The cable length from the connected PCMK card connector to the pod is 7 inches, while the length from the pod to the processor is 9.23 feet. If the 1784-PCM4 cable is connected to the processor, the DH-485 link will have a maximum of two nodes. The cable is used when connecting the 1784-PCMK/B card to the SLC5/01, the 5/02, or the 5/03 processors. The 1784-PCM4 cable is also used to connect the card to an Allen-Bradley 1747-AIC coupler for DH-485 communication. The cable package comes with the cable itself, with one end connecting to an RJ-45 connector, and 2 wedges are included too.
