The 1734-TB3S is a Terminal Base assembly module from Allen-Bradley’s 1734 POINT I/O system. This assembly is composed of a mounting base that provides a DIN attachment mechanism; Interlocking side pieces for establishing POINT I/O Bus connection and a module slot for hosting the elected POINT I/O module. The other component of this assembly is the Removable Terminal Block (RTB) which allows signal and power supply wires to be connected to the module. The 1734-TB3S is a spring clamp terminal. It has Twelve (12) terminals where terminals 4, 5, 8, and 9 are internally shorted and terminals 6, 7, 10, and 11 are internally shorted as well however, not connected to other shorted groups. This module also has a DIN Rail locking screw and mechanical keying for locking the module into place. This assembly has a maximum field power bus supply voltage of 300 V with a maximum supply current of 10 A while the signal terminal voltage is rated 30 V and signal terminal current of 2 Amperes. It features built-in isolation rated 250V, Basic Insulation Type isolation between field-side to the system, Type tested at 1000V AC for 60 s duration. It has an open-type enclosure and requires a screw torque of 0.8 N-m (7 lb-in).

The 1734-TB3S is a POINT I/O Terminal Base Assembly by Allen Bradley. The assembly includes an RTB, a removable terminal block, for wiring. This 12-terminal base assembly spring-clamp is used to wire industrial automation sensors, transmitters, and switches to POINT I/O system, and can be mounted horizontally or vertically. The 1734-TB3S terminal base assembly can be installed to the POINT I/O without any tools. Start by positioning the base above previously installed modules and sliding the base down and connecting it to the units on the left. Press down firmly to place the terminal base on the DIN-rail until the base falls into place. If the assembly has been positioned correctly, the locking screw will be in a horizontal position. Then set the mechanical key to the number of the specific I/O module that is to be mounted on the assembly. The 1734-TB3 assembly includes a removable terminal block, which can be removed by pulling up on the handle on its top. In this way, the terminal base or I/O module can be changed without disconnecting of any wires. The POINT I/O system incorporates DIN-rail grounding. An RTB is distributed with the 1734-TBCJC assembly; to remove it, pull up the RTB handle part on top of it. This allows the mounting base to be removed and replaced without wiring removal. The POINT I/O system has a built-in DIN-rail grounding. A zinc-plated chromate steel DIN-rail is recommended to establish correct grounding. Single terminal pin connections: 0 (N/A), 1 (N/A), 2 (N/A), 3 (Shield), 4 (1+), 5 (1-), 6 (0+), 7 (0-). More than 2 conductors should not be used on any single terminal pin.
