5130-MRM2 is a 384K Resource Manager Daughterboard in the Pyramid Integrator line of Allen Bradley PLCs. It requires a maximum power of +5 Volts DC if operating at 0.6 Amps or +12 Volts DC if operating at 0.02 Amps. This module has eight LED indicators which include the following: Pass/Fail, Execute, Outputs, Fault, Forces, Channel 1, Channel 2, and Channel 3. There is an additional LED to indicate Memory Error. It is equipped with a key switch with three modes of operation: Run, Remote, and Program. The ports are located below the key switch. The 5130MRM2 has an RS-232 port, RS-423 port, and an RS-422 port. The top-most port is associated with Channel 2A, the next is associated with Channel 1 and the remaining two are associated with Channel 2B followed by Channel 3. Each channel supports select protocol. Channel 1 supports DF1, Slave, and Master protocol while Channels 2 and 3 support DHPlus and DH.
When opening or changing the 5130MRM2 board you must first release the locks that secure the module in place. Next, slide the thumb tab to the right and carefully lift the module slightly. At this point, the thumb tab can be moved even further to the right enough to grip the module at the left edge and fully remove the module. In order to expose the connector, flip the panel over. If the memory on the 5130MRM2 needs to be changed, you must first push out the locking tabs, which will separate the connectors, this will allow you to exchange the memory board or module. To reposition the 5130MRM2, push the connectors together and ensure the locking tabs are in position. Flip the board back over and insert it back into the correct position. You can now close the locks. It is crucial to never remove or install the memory boards in an environment that is not static safe. If there is static in the environment, it can cause an electrostatic discharge with may damage the board.
