5250-LP

The 5250-LP is a logic processor module host manufactured by Allen Bradley from the Pyramid Integrator modules. The 5250-LP controls the master programs which are used for monitoring the inputs and also controls the outputs of the I/O system. It also sends programmed inputs and self-diagnosis information to the host processor. This module can be used to program a DF1 driver for a computer to interface with the DF1 products and to other networks. The 5250-LP is a processor which is used along with the I/O scanner module and power supply modules. The user may connect the different modules with a 3-wire connection which helps in reducing the installation cost and efforts. Up to four processor modules may be connected to the chassis of the 5250-LP. The module has a maximum user memory of 13K which can be expanded to 17K or 21K. It has 1024 I/O ports which have a scan time of 10 milliseconds at 57.6 kbps when connected remotely.

The 5250-LP should be replaced and installed by trained on the system only. It is recommended to follow the guidelines stated by the manufacturer to prevent any damage to the connected equipment and to the operator. Before opening the enclosures, the power supply to the system must be turned OFF to prevent an electric shock. It is recommended to check all the connections are made as specified by the manufacturer. For longer equipment life expectancy, it is necessary to maintain the ambient temperature around the device as stated by the manufacturer. Coolers may be used if the ambient temperature is more than the desired temperature to cool down the device; alternatively, heaters may be used if the ambient temperature goes below the recommended operating temperature to increase the temperature to the desired level. The environment humidity should be non condensing between 5 to 95%.
