This Allen-Bradley PLC-5/250 Pyramid Integrator allows multiple logic processors to be installed in a Pyramid Integrator chasses, to allow for concurrent processing and control. With an enhanced PLC-5 instruction set, along with sequential function chart programming and multiple processor capabilities, the PLC-5/250 Allen Bradley 5250L112 helps users organize a plant floor control programming for efficient, high speed, concurrent processing. The 5250L112 is well suited for both process and sequential control applications. This modular configuration provides users the freedom to configure a system to meet your needs and allows room for growth. The 5250L112 is a high speed, a high-performance programmable controller that you can use either as a large central PLC or as a supervisory PLC, especially when a close coupling between control and information is necessary. The latest addition to the PLC-5 family of programmable controllers, the PLC-5/250 features an enhanced PLC-5 instruction set, Sequential Function Chart programming, communication with 1771 I/O, Data Highway and Data Highway Plus and a concurrent processing of multiple ladder logic programs with multiple processors.

The 5250L112 can be configured as a PLC-5/250, as a standalone PLC, or as a component in a Pyramid Integrator system, which includes a MicroVAX Information Processor and Vision Processor. The 5250L112, when used with an information processor module, provides complete integration of information and control functions. In a Pyramid Integrator system, the 5250L112 can gather vast amounts of information quickly and transfer data easily to other areas of the plant.
