The Allen-Bradley 5250LP4 is a logic processing module that executes control logic from multiple sources. It can be made of up to four LPs in the pyramid integrator chassis. Each chassis executes its one ladder-logic program. The input of data can be contributed by other pyramid integrator modules in the local chassis and other devices that are connected to the RM or the KA through a DH link or a DH+ link. To protect the keypad module electronics, from contamination by the atmosphere, the 5250LP4 uses the NEMA enclosure. The part features a keypad that allows users to enter up to 8 digits. To ensure that users enter only the right number of digits, the part is designed to allow only the first 8 values.
The Allen-Bradley 5250LP4 logic processor is programmed in such a way that the keypad module is able to communicate with the controller directly through the remote I/O link. The part allows the user to delete data by pressing the DELETE key after an erroneous entry if the ENTER key has not been pressed. The keypad module is able to display text in real time for the user to take the right action. This makes the unit reliable and safe to use.
