The 5250MLP2 provides maximum flexibility and ease in controlling and monitoring the outputs and inputs of an I/O system by taking charge of the main programs that are responsible for it. The main components of the 5250MLP2 consist of a 5250-MLP2/A 384K Logic daughterboard and 5250 LP/A host board. The 5250MLP2 provides variety in its mounting options and it can be easily integrated with the Allen-Bradley vision platform and pyramid integration chassis. Each chassis can support up to 4 units of the 5250MLP2. The device has a 3-wire connection to facilitate installation and cost reduction. It should be noted that only a professional should handle the installation. The device is temperature-sensitive and it should be installed in cool non-humid (maximum humidity of 95%) environments. The power supply should be always turned off after use to prevent electrical accidents.

The control logic of the 5250MLP2 is executed by the logic processor (5250-LP1, -LP2, -LP3, or -LP4). The input data from multiple sources such as different devices and pyramid integrator modules is collected by the KAs or RM’s via the DH/DH+ communications setup. Each logic processor in the 5250MLP2 has its own ladder-logic program.
