The 5250MLP4 is a logic processor module from Allen Bradley. The logic processor module provides more functionality to an Allen Bradley system. It is compatible with Allen Bradley Pyramid Integration Chassis. The 5250MLP4 can execute control logic from different sources. It can perform ladder-logic programming. It utilizes input data from other Pyramid Integrator modules within the same chassis, as well as other devices connected to the KA or RM through a DH+/DH- link. To install the 5250MLP4, first, check if there is room for a module in the chassis. One can install a maximum of four modules in a single chassis. Turn off the power supply and then insert the module into the chassis. Make sure that the logic processor module is seated firmly into the backplane of the chassis before securing it into place. Secure the 5250MLP4 with thumbscrews before turning on the power supply.
After securing the 5250MLP4 into place, install the battery. Unscrew the battery holder from the logic processor module. Then place the battery into the holder. Screw back the battery holder, but avoid over-tightening the holder. The next step is to set the logic processor module’s address. Locate the push wheel at the top front area of the panel of the module and set the push wheel data according to the manual. Once you have set its address, make connections to the module, and now it is ready to execute control logic computations.
