About 1745-E105

The Allen-Bradley 1745-E105 is an expansion unit that provides additional I/O circuits for a variety of applications and which is compatible with the SLC 150 or the SLC 100 processor units. It works on 170-265V AC at 50-60Hz and it can expand the number of circuits to a maximum number of 112 with a power fuse of 250V. It is easy to assign addresses to the I/O combinations in this unit by matching the address blocks to the SLC 100/150 units. Damage to output circuits which due to transients is prevented by the RC networks.



The processor unit and the expansion unit are interconnected using a 10-pin point cable called the 1745-C2. There are 3 configurations available: the basic unit, the analog input unit, and the relay unit. The basic unit consists of 10 inputs and 6 outputs while the analog circuit has 2 inputs but no outputs and the relay circuit has no inputs but 12 outputs. Self-lifting pressure plates make wire insertion easy. Depending on the application, you can use the I/O combination on the various address blocks from the processor unit.



The input/output capacity of expansion unit 1745-E105 includes 12 outputs suitable to work at 0-60 degrees Celsius. Make sure you are following the proper spacing guidelines between the extra units that are being installed and they are NEMA-approved. The installation is easy and maintenance requires little efforts. While installing, make sure the whole unit is properly grounded to avoid damage to the device or personnel. Use an appropriate ampere fuse so that the device can be guarded against overloading.
