The Allen-Bradley 1745-LP104 is a member of the SLC 150 programmable controller series which is easy to program. The functional capabilities include timers, relay logic controllers, sequencers, shift registers, and counters. The controller is used in the wide variety of applications such as machine tools, material handling, assembly machines and casting.

The 1745-LP104 controller unit contains the CPU and the battery-backed CMOS RAM with the power supply and with 16 I/O circuits in 4 available versions. The other features of this controller unit include the incoming line wiring terminals with 10 inputs and 20 outputs. The processor unit includes relay hard contact output circuits with 5 LED diagnostic indicators.

Other features of the 1745-LP104 include 85-132 or 170-265V AC power at 50-60 Hz. The controller has twenty 85-132V AC sinking inputs, ten 85-265V AC TRIAC outputs, and two 10-250V AC (10-125V DC) hard contact relay outputs. The unit has optional battery back-up and the standard capacitor back-up. The user memory size is 1200 words and its vibration is 0.015-inch peak-to-peak displacement with 2.5g max acceleration on 1Hr/axis.

The operating temperature range of the 1745-LP104 is 32-140 °F and the storage temperature is -40-185 °F. Backup power is provided by the capacitor, and the interface converter, the pocket programmer, or the TCAT cable is plugged into its socket. The 1745-LP104 expansion unit interconnects with the processor unit and with other expansion units through its ribbon cable. It has a CMOS RAM memory unit and additional space for an EEPROM memory unit.
