The Allen-Bradley 1745-E151 is a member of the SLC 150 expansion unit series for the programmable controllers (PLCs) that is used to expand the number of circuits in a module to a maximum of 112. This expansion unit is similar in construction and uses as its counterparts in the SLC 150 series. Like the other processor units, the 1745-E151 comes with 12 outputs and 20 inputs. The output units include hard contact, triac, and the transistor outputs. This unit is available in 6 different versions to meet many application requirements.
 
Here are some of the important features of the 1745-E151 expansion unit. It has wiring terminals for twenty inputs and an incoming wiring line terminal. The self-lifting plates allow for easy wire inspection and they help to secure the connections. The terminals accept two 14 AWG wires and a hinged cover. The terminal lock comes with a removable system for easy expansion replacement. There are different color patches in black, red, blue, purple, yellow, and green for easy part identification. The diagnostic indicator runs on DC power.  The input unit has 20 red LEDs for status indicators which can be identified with the corresponding keys numbered from A01 to B10. The 1745-E151 can support an input power range of 85-132V AC. The part has a CMOS RAM and has additional space for an EEPROM unit.
