The 1745-E154 is a part of the Allen-Bradley SLC-150 Expansion Unit Series for Programmable Controllers. The part is used to expand the number of I/O circuits in a module to a maximum of 112. The expansion unit comes with 12 outputs and 20 inputs to start with. The outputs include hard contact, Triac, and transistor outputs.
Some features of the 1745-E154 expansion unit include high-speed input signals (HSI) at up to 5 kHz. The unit uses 4 high-speed input devices wherein each device is connected to a high-speed input module counted by the SLC 150. Using the dip switches, a variety of voltage levels for input signals are filtered and selected on the module unit. The 1745-E154 unit requires a power rating of 85-132 or 170-265V AC 50-60 Hz with 20 85-132V AC sinking inputs and 10 85-265V AC TRIAC outputs. The unit has optional battery backup and standard capacitor backup.
The 1745-E154 unit uses CMOS RAM and has a 4ms scan time with a 0.015-inch peak-to-peak displacement and 2.5g peak acceleration. The operating temperature ranges between 32 and 140 °F and the storage temperature is between -40 and 185 °F. The humidity rating for operation and storage should be anywhere between 5-95% without condensation. The part has a CMOS RAM memory unit and has additional space for an EEPROM unit.
