The Allen Bradley 1746-BLM is a Blow Molding Module for the SLC 500 system. It is an intelligent specialty module that features quality performance, easy installation and integration, simple use, and support for various machine applications such as continuous extrusion machines, accumulator machines, and reciprocating screw machines. For channel synchronization, it features four independent axes of PID control plus and discrete I/O pair per channel.
The 1746-BLM module has 4 digital, 4 analog inputs and 4 digital, 4 analog, and 1 excitation outputs. It has a backplane current of 110 mA at 5 Volts and 14 bits resolution, an isolation voltage of 500 Volts DC, and a 10 k Hertz conversion rate. It has a tightly integrated solution for connecting with various machines.
The 1746-BLM module provides 256 points of resolution with interpolation and has 100 microseconds of loop update time. It performs its servo control task independently but its run-time information and configuration are provided by the processor. Configurations include two parison axes and two accumulator push-outs. It can also easily change profile parameters such as changing weight without changing shape. It has extended applications in various plastic machines because of its modularity feature.
This unit has an operating temperature of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius, and a 5% to 95% non-condensing relative humidity.
