The Allen-Bradley 1746-OB6EI is a member of the 1746 series and a digital I/O module in the SLC 500 system. The 1746-OB6EI has 6 outputs but no inputs. This module is equipped with internal protection against short circuits and overloads current conditions. However, this module does not have any protection against reverse polarity wiring or wiring to AC power sources. Keep in mind that the internal protection in this module does not replace circuit breakers, fuses, or other code-required wiring protection devices.
