The Allen-Bradley 1746-OVP16 is a digital I/O module for the SLC 500 system. It is a high-current sinking 24V DC output module. The 1746-OVP16 module features a fused common and blown fuse LED indicator, providing short-circuit protection. If the fuse blows, the LED indicator illuminates. An LED also illuminates if a processor error occurs and all the outputs turn off. This module makes it easy to create custom solutions for various applications. The 1746-OVP16 module’s operating voltage is 20.4 – 26.4V DC (sink) and it has 16 outputs with 16 common points. This module’s backplane current consumption is 250 mA at 5V DC and 0m A at 24V DC. The maximum signal delay is 0.1 ms in On-state and 1 ms in Off-state. The continuous current per output of this module is 1.5A and 0A at 30°C. This module has a maximum Off-state leakage of 1 mA and maximum thermal dissipation of 6.26 W. The maximum On-state voltage drop of this module is 1V at 1A and 4A for 10 ms maximum surge current per point. The Allen-Bradley 1746-OVP16 is also equipped with color-coded removable terminal blocks (RTBs). Remember to display the I/O point status, because it has LED indicators at the front.
