The 1746sc-CTR4 is a Flowmeter/counter module from Spectrum controls. This is compatible for use with Allen-Bradley’s Smart Logic Controllers (SLC) platform. This module can accommodate Four (4) quadrature encoder inputs and Four (4) external counter enable inputs and accepts input voltage signals raging 50mv–75VAC peak, 5 Vdc, 12 Vdc, 24 Vdc along switching input frequency of AC 50 kHz Max, DC 50 kHz Max. The 1746sc-CTR4 has configurable input filters such as 50kHz, 30kHz for a digital filter, and 15 kHz for an analog filter. Accepted minimum input pulse time is 8us external enable and disable setup time is 20us. Individual channel update time is 4.0 msec for OFF transition and 5.6 msec for ON transition. The module’s count mode accuracy is +/- 1 count; Rate (instant) accuracy of +/- 1% @ 50 kHz and 0.001% @ 1 Hz and Rate (average) accuracy -f 1 kHz. The module’s maximum count value includes for low range -32,768 to +32,767 and -8,388,608 to +8,388,607 for high range. It has built-in fault detection properties such as Over & under range status bits for all operating modes. The module’s data format are maximum binary value of -8,388,608 to +8,388,607 and -32,768 to +32,767for counter mode and rate mode, respectively. The 1746sc-CTR4 has a Module status indicator and Four (4) individual input status indicator LEDs. Which can be used by operators and plant personnel as a troubleshooting reference. For terminating input signals, this module is supplied with a 24 pin removable connector, compatible with wiring One 12 AWG to 28 AWG wire to each terminal.
