The 1746sc-NO8I is an analog output module that is manufactured by Spectrum controls, an encompass partner company of Rockwell Automation. This module is directly compatible with the SLC 500 series of Allen-Bradley that features Eight (8) current output channels that generate 0-20 mA and 4-20mA output signals at 16-bit Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) resolution. This module can be used to drive modulating devices such as Control Valves, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), Positioners, and similar devices. It may also be used for signal retransmission for termination to panel meters, data loggers, and recorders as well as input to other PLC-based and single-loop controllers. The 1746sc-NO8I has a backplane current consumption of 120mA at 5 VDC and 240 mA at 24 VDC. The module has a width designed to occupy a single slot of the chassis. It can be installed to any available slot except slot 0 that is reserved for the CPU. It can be installed to a local I/O rack where the CPU resides or to a remote I/O rack as part of distributed I/O architecture. The 1746sc-NO8I comes with a removable Terminal Block (RTB) mounted on the front panel which simplifies troubleshooting as pre-existing wires can be maintained when installing and replacement of modules.
