The 1747-L20F is a Fixed Hardware Style Controller in the Allen-Bradley PLC SLC 500 Series. This basic fixed controller is a processor with 1,024 (1K) instruction capacities, a power supply, and 20 I/Os within a single package. Specifically, it has twelve (12) 24VDC inputs and 8 AC/DC relay outputs. The I/Os of the 1747-L20F can be increased to 64 using two I/O module slots attached to an expansion chassis. With capacitor-backed RAM as its memory type, the 1747-L20F offers optional battery back-up and memory backup options in EEPROM and UVPROM. It has a 1K instruction program memory. Moreover, the 1747-L20F has a typical scan time of an 8 milliseconds/1K, a program scan hold-up time after the loss of power of 20-700 milliseconds, and a 120-240V AC line power.

Operating with a line power of 24 V DC, the 1747-L20F has a maximum power supply (Inrush Rating) of 30 Amperes and a maximum power requirement of 50 VA. It has 24V DC user power output current of 200mA and a 20.4 - 27.6V DC (24V DC ± 15 %) of user power output voltage. The 1747-L20F has a power fuse protection of 1.25A at 120/240V and 1.6A at 24V DC.
