The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1747-L20P module is a fixed I/O processor module that has 20 AC I/O channels. It has been designed as a member of the SLC 500 series. The 1747-L20P fixed I/O processor module communicates with other devices through its 8 AC triac outputs and its 12 inputs that are rated for 240 Volts AC voltage. This fixed I/O processor module does not come with a high-speed counter like some of the other fixed I/O processors do, and it cannot support user power. The 1747-L20P fixed I/O processor module operates with 120/240 Volts AC of line voltage in a temperature range from 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit.

The Allen-Bradley 1747-L20P module is geared up with a power supply and a wide variety of I/O contained in a single bundle. It is a processor with an instruction ability of 1,024 (1K) words. The Allen-Bradley 1747-L20P also comes with an excessive speed counter. Its counters are capable of calculating at rates of up to 8 kHz. The user can use Input 0 as an ordinary input or as an excessive-speed counter. To deal with this dual feature, the input has a selectable jumper filter. You need to reduce the jumper for excessive-speed counter utilization. Shielded cables are recommended to lessen the noise at the input. Remember to shut off the power to the controller before you insert or remove a memory module. This will prevent possible damage to modules and prevent unwanted processor errors.
The Allen-Bradley 1747-L20P can operate at 47- 63 Hz. This module has a wire size of 14 AWG. The 1747-L20P has a line power of 120-240V AC. The Allen-Bradley 1747-L20P has an input of 240V AC. The output is AC Triac and the input has an On-state voltage of 170-265V AC. The Off-state voltage of this module's input is at its maximum at 50V AC. The nominal input current is 12 mA at 240V AC. The turn-ON time of this module's input is at its maximum at 35 milliseconds. The turn-OFF time is at its maximum at 45 milliseconds and this module's input has a maximum Off-State current of 2 mA.

The Allen-Bradley 1747-L20P is a SLC 500 Fixed Controller. This Fixed Controller has (12) 240 V AC Inputs, 8 AC Triac Outputs and 120-240 Volts AC Line Power.
With 12 inputs, this module has the least of the fixed controllers. Nonetheless, this is still appropriate for the right application.
The lowest number of output available from the fixed SLC 500 series, still just as useful in the correct process.
This SLC 500 fixed controller will not work with a high speed counter.
