The Allen-Bradley 1747-L30 is a fixed controller that is a part of the SLC 500 system. It is a small, simple and pocket-friendly controller with the power and flexibility of a larger controller. The 1747-L30 consists of a processor with 1,024 words user memory, a power supply, and a fixed number of I/O. The 1747-L30 controller requires 120-240V AC line power. It has 18 inputs with 120V AC and 8 AC/DC relay outputs. It provides 4 microseconds bit execution time and 8 milliseconds/1K typical scan time. It has a heat dissipation ranging from 12.7 – 19.2 Watts. It uses a capacitor-based RAM memory with an EEPROM backup option. For wiring, it supports the Belden 9463 cable with 14 AWG (American Wire Gauge) maximum size. For programming, control, and troubleshooting, a Hand-Held Terminal (HHT) is used. For communication, it uses the DH-485 or the RS-232 port for providing communication over long distances. The 1747-L30 controller has NEMA standard noise immunity and enclosure for better environmental protection. It has LED indicators for Power, PC Run, Low Battery, Forced I/O, and CPU Fault. It provides extended versatility with 2-slot expansion chassis that allows the addition of two more I/O modules. The 1747-L30 is intended for use in an industrial environment with a 0 - 60°C operating temperature and a vibration acceleration of 2.5G at 57 – 2000 Hz.
