The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1747-L30B processor module is a fixed I/O type of processor module from the Allen-Bradley SLC 500 series. It comes with 30 I/O channels. The 30 I/O channels in the 1747-L30B fixed I/O processor module include 12 AC triac outputs and 18 AC inputs that have a voltage rating of 120 Volts AC. The processor module as a whole operates with a rated line power of 120 or 240 Volts AC but it cannot operate with user power. The 1747-L30B fixed I/O processor module does not have a high-speed counter built into it.

The 1747-L30B Fixed Hardware Controller is part of the Allen-Bradley PLC SLC 500 Series. With an on-state voltage of 85-132V AC and a maximum off-state voltage of 30V AC, the 1747-L30B has a maximum turn-on time of 35 milliseconds and turn-off time of 45 milliseconds. Moreover, the 1747-L30B has a typical scan time of an 8 milliseconds/1K, a program scan hold-up time after the loss of power of 20-700 milliseconds and 120-240V AC line power. This fixed controller consists of a processor with 1,024 instruction capacities, a power supply, and a certain number of I/O within a single package. With a capacitor-backed RAM as its memory type, the 1747-L30B offers optional battery back-up and memory backup options in the form of EEPROM and UVPROM. It has a 1K instruction capacity of program memory and a nominal input current of 12mA.

The 1747-L30B possesses an I/O configuration input of (18) 120V AC and an I/O configuration output of (12) AC Triac. The user can increase the number of I/Os supported by the controller to 64 points by using 2 I/O module slots mounted on an expansion chassis.The 1747-L30B operates on 85-265V AC at 47-63 Hz. In addition, it has a maximum power supply (Inrush Rating) of 30 Amperes and a maximum power requirement of 50 VA. In addition, the 1747-L30B uses a wire size of #14 AWG maximum and caters I/O electrical-optical isolation of 1500V AC at 1 minute. Operating at an ambient temperature of 32-140°F, this PLC module must be stored at a temperature between -40 and 85°C. For noise pollution, the 1747-L30A adheres to the ICS 2-230 NEMA standards.
