The 1747-L40A is a fixed hardware style controller in the Allen-Bradley PLC SLC 500 series. It has an I/O configuration input of (24) 120V AC and output of (16) AC/DC Relays. The discrete input’s on-state voltage is 85 - 132V AC and a maximum off-state voltage of 30V AC. The 1747-L40A has a maximum turn-on time of 35 milliseconds and turn-off time of 45 milliseconds. Moreover, the 1747-L40A uses a #14 AWG wire size and gives an I/O electrical-optical isolation of 1500V AC at 1 minute. Operating at an ambient temperature rating of 32-140 deg. The 1747-L40A is a fixed controller that has a processor with 1,024 (1K) instruction capacities, a power supply, and a fixed number of I/O within a single package. With a capacitor-backed RAM as its memory type, the 1747-L40A offers optional battery back-up and memory backup options through EEPROM and UVPROM. It has a 1K instruction capacity of program memory and a nominal input current of 12mA at 120V AC.
