The Allen-Bradley 1747-cables Belden 9463 Connector Cable Assembly is a cable assembly with a 6-pin Phoenix Connector which connects the 1747-SN Remote I/O Scanner, 1747-ASB SLC Remote I/O Adapter module, 1747-DCM Direct Communication Module, and the SLC 5/04 processors to the RIO network. The 1747-cables wiring length varies across different applications, and it provides RIO connected devices with RIO link in a daisy-chain configuration. The 1747-cables is made of the tinned stranded copper wire conductor, with a 0.038 inches nominal diameter, and with 20 AWG rated conductor size. It has a 0.078 inches insulation diameter, made of polyethylene material, and it has an outer shield material made of aluminum/polyester tape, which provides up to 100% shield coverage, and a tinned copper braid shield which provides 55% coverage.
Depending on the RIO devices used, the 1747-cables has a selectable transmission rate from 57.6 KiloBaud to 230.4 KiloBaud, and it offers variable cable distances from 762 meters to 3048 meters. The conductor material (Copper) has a nominal cable resistance of about 9.5 Ohms per 1000 feet. It also has a rating of 19.7 Pico-Farad per cable feet, with 0.12 µH rated inductance per cable foot, and a nominal impedance of 78 Ohms. The 1747-cables has a recommended pulling tension of 48 pounds, and a minimum bend radius of 2.4 inches without causing permanent stress. It has -40 to +80 degree Celsius operating/installation temperature range, and it is UL, CPR, NEC, and CEC certified.
