The Allen-Bradley 2706-P44R terminal is an InView series message display terminal with a display screen that is 6 feet wide. The messages on the 6-foot screen are displayed in red and they are visible as much as 200 feet away. Additionally, the 2706-P44R message display terminal supports both the standard and the extended ASCII character set for displaying messages in multiple languages. It can operate at temperatures of 0 to 50 degrees Celsius and at non-condensing relative humidity levels of 5 to 95%. The 2706-P44R message display terminal can save approximately 4000 messages in its memory.

The 2706-P44R Inview Message Display by Allen-Bradley is a tri-color LED matrix device with a display area of 183 x 12.2 centimeters (72 x 4.8 inches), and a maximum display visibility length of 60 meters (200 feet). The 2706-P44R has a resolution of 120 x 16 pixels and a center-to-center pixel depth of 7.62 millimeters (0.3 inches). It adopts the Standard and Extended ASCII character set, and display characters in 2 lines of display, with the first line having a maximum of 24 characters and the second having 40 characters. The display characters have a character size of 12.2 centimeters (4.8 inches) in the first line and 5.3 centimeters (2.1 inches) in the second line.

Communication and connection with external devices are possible through the RS-232 and RS-485 configured communication ports. Extra and extended communication capability is achieved by attaching the communication module for connection to the DH-485 and ControlNet Network. The 2706-P44R is designed with a factory-installed back-mounted power source with a voltage rating between 100 and 240 Volts AC at 47 to 63 Hertz. Its enclosure is NEMA Type 12 rated and is CE and cUL-us certified for safe operation in the US and Europe.
