The Allen-Bradley InView Marquee Message Displays are large-format, red and tri-color LED display units that are made for visually communicating information across the factory floor. They are available in 11 different models with 1 to 5-line character displays that feature multiple character effects and size options. The InView message displays can perform a range of functions from displaying safety messages to visually announcing process alarms or inventory data through localized messaging, mixed data messaging, or complex remote messaging. These display modules are programmable through the InView Messaging software that is available for Windows PCs.
The viewing distances of the InView Message Displays are 7.6 meters (25 feet), 60 meters (200 feet), 100 meters (350 feet), and 137 meters (450 feet), depending on the size of the displays. The width x height display area size options are 12 x 2 inches, 36 x 4.8 inches, 36 x 7.2 inches, 36 x 9.6 inches, 72 x 4.8 inches, 60 x 7.2 inches, and 72.96 inches. Remote I/O, DH+, DH-485, ControlNet, DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, and other legacy communication adapters can be used alongside PLCs and computer-based systems to integrate InView message display units into commercial or industrial networks. InView Message Displays supports standard and extended ASCII characters with some units displaying up to 20 characters per line. Some versions of the InView Message Displays are compatible with Type 1 Compact Flash Cards for storing message files on the units and the P92C and P94C models are equipped with overtemperature protection. Each InView Message Display module comes with an RS-232 serial port that supports point-to-point communication or an RS-485 serial port that supports multidrop communication.
