The 2706-P72CN1 InView Message Display by Allen-Bradley is a display device which has a tri-color LED matrix character display with a maximum display distance of 100 m (350ft), a display resolution of 120 x 24 or 200 x 24 pixels, and a 7.62 millimeter (0.3 inches) pixel depth. It displays messages in 4 lines with each line having a maximum set of characters. The first display has a maximum of 12 characters, the second and third each have a maximum of 20 characters, and the fourth line has a maximum of 24 characters. Characters displayed on the 2706-P72CN1 screen are in the Standard and Extended ASCII set with a character size that varies with the line of the display. Characters in the first line are 18.3 centimeters (7.2 inches)-long, with 7.6 centimeters (3.0 inches), 5.3 centimeters (2.1 inches) and 3.8 centimeters (1.5 inches)-long characters on the second, third and fourth display lines.

The 2706-P72CN1 comes with a built-in power supply with a rating of 100 to 240 Volts AC at 47 to 63 Hertz. The communication module is also attached to the 2706-P72CN1 for extended network capability.
