2706-PDHPM

The 2706-PDHPM module is a communication module for the InView message display units and it has been manufactured by Allen-Bradley. It is a DH+ communication module which is used as a network bridge between the display unit and the local Allen-Bradley network. It is fully compatible with the Allen-Bradley InView 2706-P7X P9X message display module. The 2706-PDHPM communication module is used in industrial locations for communication across the factory floor. The 2706-PDHPM module should be used within a temperature range of 0 and 50 degrees celsius. When not in use, it can be stored within a temperature range of -25 to 70 degrees Celsius. The communication module is equipped with COMM and Fault LED indicators to isolate operating problems.

The COMM LED on the Allen-Bradley 2706-PDHPM communication module is used to view the network and communication activity in the module. In the DF1 terminals, the indicator flashes until an application is completely loaded. The 2706-PDHPM module can be connected to a personal computer by using a serial communication port. The communication module should be kept away from heat generating devices as well as electromagnetic noise. The 2706-PDHPM communication module comes with different InView parameters. It uses a unique address from 0 to 63 in the network. It comes with different baud rates of 125, 250, and 500 Kbps for communication. A Bus-off interrupt is also present in the communication module. It comes with "Hold in Reset" communication mode or "Reset and Continue" communication mode. All of these settings can be configured by using the InView communication utility.
